Polynucleotides are small molecules of polynucleic acids that occur naturally in the human body. Because of their properties, they have been used for years in cosmetology and aesthetic medicine. They have found excellent use in anti-ageing prevention. Polynucleotides effectively bind water molecules, which ensures optimum skin hydration. In addition, they neutralise free radicals responsible for skin ageing and UV damage. Thus, through its intensive moisturising and antioxidant action, it favourably influences the fibroblast environment, stimulating both their growth and the production of collagen and elastin. These basic structural proteins provide the skin with firmness, elasticity and a more youthful appearance. Biostimulant preparations with their content are used, among other things, for mesotherapy of the facial skin. Treatments using them have the effect of moisturising the skin, smoothing wrinkles, lifting the face and antioxidising.
