- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen, ketonal) should be avoided 10 days prior to surgery.
- If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you should consult your GP about your intention to perform the procedure and consider discontinuing them in the perioperative period.
- If you are susceptible to herpes consider prophylactic use of an antiviral drug such as acyclovir before surgery.
- Avoid drinking alcohol on the day of surgery
- Do not apply cosmetics to the injected area for 48 hours.

To minimise the sensation almost completely, the face is anaesthetised with an anaesthetic cream. This makes the facial modelling procedure painless. When hyaluronic acid is used for facial modelling, a cannula, or pace-tipped needle, can be used, so that pain sensations and the risk of bruising or swelling are kept to a minimum.
For a few hours after the hyaluronic acid facial modelling procedure, excessive expression should be avoided. Also refrain from touching or massaging the injection sites. Overexposure to sunlight and heat (solarium, sun rays, sauna) should be avoided for about 3 days.
- Exercise should be avoided immediately after the procedure.
- Regardless of the measures used - swelling is a natural reaction of the body to the injection. It is not an indicator of a medical condition and should disappear within a few days. Consultation is advisable if the swelling persists for more than 2-3 days and there are concomitant symptoms of inflammation, i.e. significant redness, soreness and increase in temperature of the affected tissues.
- You will achieve the best visual results if you do not delay the 'maintenance' treatment. For wrinkle filling, we recommend another treatment after a period of 6 months.
