The classic Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), as opposed to the Body Sculpt procedure, is an invasive surgical procedure. It aims to enlarge and firm the buttocks by transplanting the patient's own fat tissue.
The procedure involves taking fat from an area such as the abdomen, thighs or hips, then purifying it and administering it to the buttocks. This makes it possible to give them a fuller and more rounded shape. The procedure is carried out under local or general anaesthesia and requires a period of convalescence.
It is worth emphasising that BBL is associated with the risk of complications such as infections, blood clots or displacement of the transplanted fat. For this reason, patients are increasingly opting for less invasive methods of buttock modelling, such as modelling technologies or filler preparations.
