• If you are susceptible to herpes consider prophylactic use of an antiviral drug such as acyclovir before surgery.
• Avoid drinking alcohol on the day of surgery
• If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you should consult your GP about your intention to perform the procedure and consider discontinuing them in the perioperative period.

For maximum and long-lasting results, an individualised plan is established at the consultation. The number of treatments is determined by the skin condition, expectations and indications for the treatment. Often the treatment lasts for 4-5 treatments at intervals of 7-28 days. Effects are already visible 2-3 days after the first treatment.

To minimise discomfort and pain sensations, the skin for the procedure may be additionally anaesthetised with an anaesthetic cream. After the treatment, the skin may be slightly reddened, a natural process that will subside after a maximum of two days.

• Exercise should be avoided immediately after the procedure.
• Do not apply cosmetics to the injected area for 48 hours.
• Avoid sunbathing or using saunas.

Remember - regardless of the measures used - swelling is a natural reaction of the body to the injection. It is not an indicator of a medical condition and should disappear within a few days. Consultation is advisable if the swelling lasts longer than 2-3 days and there are concomitant symptoms of inflammation, i.e. significant redness, soreness and increase in temperature of the affected tissues.
