Atrophic scars are depressions in the skin resulting from a disease associated with the presence of a rash. Atrophic scars are the result of, for example, smallpox, acne or as a result of the habit of scratching skin lesions. Scarred skin is usually unstretchable, uneven and unsightly. Scars from acne or smallpox, often appear all over and are difficult to cover up with make-up. At Wellclinic, we remove scars with the FOTONA laser. Its light penetrates deep into the skin, damaging collagen cells and, as a result, stimulating them to produce new collagen.
