Carboxytherapy is a body contouring treatment using carbon dioxide, which has a multifaceted effect. The gas is introduced subcutaneously and intradermally by needle mesotherapy. It increases blood supply to the tissues and dilates blood vessels, making the tissues better oxygenated and nourished. During the treatment, collagen and elastin synthesis is stimulated, resulting in tighter skin. The result of carboxytherapy is an acceleration of metabolic processes in adipose tissue and its mechanical damage, resulting in slimming.
