- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen, ketonal) should be avoided 10 days prior to surgery.
- If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you should consult your GP about your intention to perform the procedure and consider discontinuing them in the perioperative period.
- If you are susceptible to herpes consider prophylactic use of an antiviral drug such as acyclovir before surgery.
