Atopic dermatitis (AD) It is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin condition associated with a compromised skin barrier and an abnormal immune system response. It is characterised primarily by dry skin, itching, redness and periodic flare-ups of symptoms.
Development AZS has multiple causes. Genetic predisposition, environmental factors, allergens and impairments in the skin’s protective function all play a role. The condition can affect both children and adults. Allergic reactions may also be associated with allergies.
The most common symptoms include itching, dryness, flaking and skin irritation. During flare-ups, cracks, exudative lesions and thickening of the epidermis may also occur.
