Phototherapy is a therapeutic procedure carried out through the use of light. It is based on the beneficial effects of visible radiation and/or ultraviolet radiation in the treatment of dermatological diseases, seasonal depressive disorder or neonatal jaundice.

Phototherapy treatments are performed in rehabilitation clinics, medical facilities and beauty salons. With the increasing availability of exposure lamps, phototherapy can also be carried out at home.
