Erythema is a dermatological symptom characterised by reddening of the skin. It is caused by the dilatation of blood vessels. It can occur as a reaction to various factors such as stress, physical exertion, temperature changes, alcohol consumption, and as a result of skin diseases such as rosacea. In the case of rosacea, erythema can be chronic and difficult to treat. In aesthetic medicine clinics, erythema is treated using a variety of methods, including laser therapy to effectively close dilated blood vessels and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments to reduce redness and improve skin tone. Adequate skin care and avoidance of erythema triggers is also an important part of the therapy.
