Discreet breast asymmetry affects most women and is not a health problem. It most commonly occurs during puberty, although not exclusively. For many patients, uneven breasts are a source of complexes and discomfort. Hence, they often seek help at our clinic.
Breast asymmetry - causes
Cause of breast asymmetry can be, for example, hormonal changes related to puberty or pregnancy. In some women, differences in the appearance of the breasts are genetically determined or linked to trauma to the chest. Another possible factor is inflammation (e.g. a nipple abscess) or past illnesses. Sometimes breast asymmetry is a consequence of a surgical procedure, e.g. in connection with a diagnosis of cancerous lesions.
Breast asymmetry - symptoms
Breast asymmetry includes a more or less visible difference in the size, volume and shape of the breasts. It also refers to an uneven position of the nipples in relation to each other or the differences in their volume.
Breast asymmetry - treatment
Method treatment of breast asymmetry depends on the root cause. For example, if a medical condition is the causative factor, treatment should be addressed first. If the uneven breasts are not related to any medical condition requiring treatment, you can perform a bust surgery. However, this type of procedure is fraught with the risk of various complications, requires hospitalisation and a fairly long recovery.
Treatment of breast asymmetry
Women can choose, for example. non-surgical breast lift involving HIFU ultrasound. This therapy uses advanced technology to improve the tone and quality of sagging skin. Another frequently chosen procedure is micro-needle radiofrequency, which stimulates fibroblasts to increase the production of collagen and elastin.
Choosing the right method correcting breast asymmetry depends on the individual characteristics of the skin, which is why it is advisable to consult an experienced practitioner to assess the optimal solution.
