Ringworm is an infectious skin disease caused by pathogenic fungi known as dermatophytes or yeasts. The development of ringworm is favoured by warm, humid climates. It is easy to contract, especially during warm weather. One person with mycosis can infect the whole family. Ringworm manifests itself with itching and burning, but this is usually blamed on excessively dry skin. There are several types of mycosis fungoides. First of all, mycosis can therefore be divided into dermatophytosis and deep mycosis, otherwise known as organ mycosis.
