Surgical scars They result from an incision made through the skin and deeper tissues during surgery. A natural healing process begins at the site of the wound, during which the damaged tissues are gradually replaced by connective tissue. This results in a scar, the appearance of which may continue to change for many months.

However, you should not apply cosmetics or massage a fresh, unhealed wound without your doctor’s consent.
