Modelling of the mandible is a type of procedure related to facial contouring. Mandibular volumetrics is a procedure that involves injecting a filler (such as hyaluronic acid) into the mandibular area. This is done to give the face attractive features. Hyaluronic acid is injected under the skin using a cannula, which is a special blunt-ended needle, as well as a traditional needle. The procedure is often performed under local anaesthetic, but this is not always necessary.
