Anagen, catagen and telogen are the three stages into which it is divided hair growth cycle. Each hair goes through these phases independently of the others, which means that the hair does not fall out all at once. Anagen This is the active growth phase of the hair. Next comes catagen, that is, a brief transitional phase, after which begins telogen – the resting phase. Once this phase is over, the hair may fall out and a new one begins to grow in its place.
