Retinol is a substance from the retinoid group, i.e. derivatives of vitamin A. It is one of the most effective active ingredients and has been used in cosmetics for many, many years. It is the absolute number one anti-ageing ingredient. As a lipophilic compound, i.e. well fat-soluble, it easily penetrates into the skin. There, it stimulates its cells to renew themselves by stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibres.

Thus, retinol effectively contributes to improving skin texture, smoothing out wrinklesincrease tension, firmness and reduction of acne scars.
