Mixed cellulite, also known as water-fat cellulite, is a form of cellulite that combines the characteristics of several types, primarily water-based cellulite i adipose cellulite. In some cases, features of fibrotic cellulite may also be present. The lesions may appear in various areas of the body and vary in severity.
Characteristic of mixed cellulite There is a co-occurrence of changes associated with the remodelling of adipose tissue and disturbances in tissue fluid balance. This may affect the structure of the skin, its elasticity and the formation of visible unevenness.
Development mixed cellulite It is multifactorial in nature. Factors that may play a role include, amongst others, genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, increased body fat, microcirculatory disorders and a sedentary lifestyle. Tissue condition can also be affected by an unhealthy diet, insufficient physical activity and the use of stimulants.
Symptoms of mixed cellulite may combine characteristics typical of different types of cellulite. The skin’s surface becomes uneven and dimpled, and in some cases there is also swelling, thickening and a reduction in tissue elasticity. These changes most commonly occur on thighs, buttocks, hips and stomach.
Procedure in the event of mixed cellulite It should take into account the mechanisms responsible for the development of these changes. It may include measures aimed at improving microcirculation, reducing body fat and improving skin tone and elasticity. Regular physical activity, a balanced diet and adequate hydration also play a supportive role.
As part of cellulite treatments Among other things, technologies are used that utilise sound waves and radiofrequency. The choice of the appropriate method depends on the type and severity of the lesions, the area affected and the individual characteristics of the skin.
