Cellulite on the buttocks These are changes within the subcutaneous tissue that cause unevenness on the surface of the skin in the buttocks area. They arise as a result of structural abnormalities in the tissue
fat deposits and the remodelling of connective tissue fibres. This is a common cosmetic problem, occurring mainly in women.

The development of cellulite is influenced by, amongst other things, disorders microcirculation, slower lymphatic drainage, hormonal factors, genetic predisposition and lifestyle, including a lack of physical activity and an unhealthy diet.

Characteristic symptoms include unevenness, indentations and thickening of the skin. Depending on the stage of the condition, these changes may only be visible when pressure is applied, or they may also be visible at rest.
