Just a few years ago, effective facelift It used to be associated primarily with surgical procedures or methods involving the use of needles. Today, thanks to advances in modern technology, it is possible to improve skin and muscle tone without the need for a scalpel or a long recovery period. One of the most innovative solutions is EMFACE – a technology that simultaneously affects skin i facial muscles, supporting their natural regeneration and improving facial contours.
The technology, which made its debut in the United States, quickly gained recognition amongst aesthetic medicine practitioners worldwide. Today EMFACE It is also available in Poland, including at Wellclinic clinics in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Kraków.
Why does the face lose its firmness as we age?
The ageing process affects all layers of tissue, not just the surface of the skin. As we age, the body gradually reduces its production of collagen i elastins, i.e. the proteins responsible for the skin’s firmness, resilience and elasticity. As a result, wrinkles appear, the skin becomes thinner and its ability to regenerate decreases significantly.
Equally important are the changes taking place in the facial muscles. Just like the muscles throughout the body, they lose volume and tone as the years go by. As the muscles responsible for supporting the tissues weaken, the skin gradually sags. It is at this point that sagging cheeks, a less defined facial contour, a drooping jawline and sagging eyebrows begin to become visible. Ageing is therefore the result of changes occurring simultaneously in the skin and in the deeper underlying structures.
Contemporary aesthetic medicine There is an increasing shift away from methods that focus solely on the skin’s surface. Effective rejuvenation should also take into account the condition of the facial muscles, as these act as a natural scaffold for the tissues above them.
EMFACE acts on the skin and muscles at the same time
EMFACE It is distinctive in that it acts on several layers of tissue during a single treatment. The energy reaches not only the skin, but also the connective tissue, fascia and the muscles responsible for the natural lifting effect of the face. This multi-level action means that the treatment is not limited merely to smoothing out wrinkles.
The device utilises simultaneous operation synchronised radio frequency (RF) and technology HIFES. Both technologies work simultaneously, meaning that a single treatment session results in both skin remodelling and intensive stimulation of the facial muscles. Such a combination has not previously been available in non-invasive technologies used for facial rejuvenation.
The treatment does not merely reduce individual wrinkles. The aim is to improve the overall quality of the tissues, rebuild their natural support and restore more harmonious facial proportions.
EMFACE is more than just facial muscle training
„”I am delighted that we are able to be part of this revolution in aesthetic medicine." – says Krzysztof Reinhard, owner of Wellclinic. He believes that EMFACE is an absolute breakthrough.

„EMFACE technology It complements our range perfectly, in line with the direction Wellclinic has been taking for years. We focus on body contours and use state-of-the-art technologies.
We effectively combine aesthetic medicine with the fitness industry. We take a holistic approach to working on the body, health and wellbeing.”
According to Krzysztof Reinhard, contemporary aesthetic medicine is changing direction. Patients are increasingly looking for improvements to their appearance that look natural and do not compromise facial expressions. What matters is a fresh, well-rested look, rather than the effect of a clearly visible procedure.
This is crucial, because we have encountered many times that a patient comes out of another clinic and is met with an unfavourable perception. Relatives are surprised and puzzled by his or her appearance. At Wellclinic, we try to move in such a direction that the perception of the person after the procedure is as positive as possible. We want our patients to evoke only positive feelings. They look like they have just had a good night's sleep or come back from holiday.
The effects of the therapy that we were able to observe at the clinical trial stage were impressive. Christopher Reinhard, being very impressed by them, decided to undergo the procedure in person.
I had some interesting insights. People's reactions to my image have been surprising. I am aware of my image at first glance. After the EMFACE treatment, I evoked only positive feelings. Definitely different from when I underwent the botulinum toxin treatment. That treatment only deepened the negative perception of me.
According to Krzysztof Reinhard, Polish bodybuilding champion and master-class coach, EMFACE is in line with the philosophy of a holistic approach to the body. Just as when planning a full-body workout, the facial muscles can also be stimulated in a controlled manner, gradually improving their tone and function. This approach enables results to be achieved that were previously difficult to attain using traditional methods alone.

How EMFACE technology works
One of the cornerstones of the therapy is radiofrequency (RF), which heats the tissues to a temperature of around 40–42°C. This level of energy stimulates fibroblasts to produce new fibres collagen i elastins, which are responsible for the skin’s firmness and elasticity. The process of tissue reconstruction that takes place is known as skin remodelling.
Clinical trials have shown that, following the completion of treatment, it was possible to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by as much as 36,8%, and many patients also reported an improvement in skin firmness and a more defined facial contour.
The second element of the therapy is technology HIFES, which causes intense contractions of the facial muscles responsible for lifting the tissues. These repeated contractions stimulate the regeneration of muscle fibres, increase their tone and improve their ability to support the skin.
The combination of both technologies means that EMFACE It affects both the quality of the skin and the deeper structures. As a result, the treatment can improve the facial contour, lift the cheeks, reduce sagging and create a more rested, natural appearance without altering facial features.
