HIFU II This is a non-invasive method that uses concentrated, high-intensity ultrasound. The treatment can be used to address loss of skin firmness and elasticity, as well as visible signs of ageing. Unlike light-based methods, such as laser therapy, the ultrasound energy is directed to a specific depth within the tissues.
At Wellclinic the treatment HIFU II is carried out using a device HIPRO by BTL. The procedure does not require any incisions or damage to the skin’s surface. It can be used as part of treatments aimed at facial rejuvenation.
HIFU II technology – what is it all about?
Abbreviation HIFU derives from the English term high-intensity focused ultrasound, i.e. focused ultrasound high-intensityi. The energy is concentrated at selected points at a specific depth within the tissues. The skin’s surface remains unaffected.
The controlled application of energy to the tissues causes them to heat up locally. As a result, collagen fibres may contract and skin remodelling processes may be stimulated. Collagen is responsible, amongst other things, for its structure and elasticity.
HIFU II for sagging skin
HIFU II It can be used to treat loss of firmness and elasticity in the skin of the face and neck. The treatment area is selected during the consultation, taking into account the condition of the skin, the degree of sagging and the desired result.
The treatment is not intended solely for wrinkle reduction. The effect of focused ultrasound is primarily directed at deeper layers of tissue. Improving their tone can also affect the appearance of the facial contours.

What does the HIFU II treatment involve?
A consultation is carried out before the treatment. The doctor assesses the condition of the skin, determines the area to be treated and checks whether there are any contraindications to the procedure.
During the treatment, the device’s head is placed against the skin, and ultrasound are directed at specific areas to a specific depth. During the treatment, the patient may feel warmth, a tingling sensation or slight pricks. The intensity of these sensations depends, amongst other things, on individual sensitivity and the area being treated.
HIFU II It does not require any incisions or breakage of the skin’s surface. However, temporary redness, swelling or tenderness may occur immediately after the treatment.
The effects of HIFU II
HIFU II It can improve skin tone and firmness. Depending on the treatment area and the initial condition of the skin, it may also improve the appearance of the facial contours and reduce the visibility of some wrinkles.
You will need to wait for the results. The controlled application of ultrasound energy triggers tissue remodelling processes, which is why the appearance of the skin may continue to improve even after the treatment.
The result depends, amongst other things, on the condition of the skin, the degree of sagging and the individual’s response. The number of treatments and the intervals between them are determined by a specialist following an assessment of the skin.
HIFU II versus other skin rejuvenation methods
HIFU II It is one of the methods used to treat loss of skin firmness. Other technologies are also available at aesthetic medicine clinics, including, amongst others, radiofrequency or laser treatments.
However, this does not mean that one method will be suitable for everyone. They differ in how they work, the depth of their effect and their indications. Therefore, the choice of treatment should be based on an assessment of the skin and the specific problem.
HIFU II – eligibility for the procedure
HIFU II It is not a suitable method for every patient. Before the procedure, the doctor takes a medical history and assesses the patient’s health and the area to be treated.
If there are any contraindications, or if another method is better suited to the skin’s needs, the doctor may suggest an alternative course of treatment. During the consultation, it is also possible to assess whether the extent of potential improvement meets the patient’s expectations.
If you want to check whether HIFU II will be a suitable solution for loss of skin firmness or visible wrinkles, whilst consultation The doctor will assess the condition of your skin and choose the most suitable treatment.
It would be worth selecting sources relating to focused ultrasound, non-invasive lifting, tissue remodelling and HIFU safety. In this case, too, I provide a mix of academic publications and institutional sources.
